A series of 1 on 1 calls with top leadership candidates or high potential individuals to round out, enhance and grow leadership effectiveness.
Challenges
To be the best, you need a coach. As they say, “you can’t tickle yourself.” As your coach I give objective feedback to support growth. I help work through sensitive and difficult challenges and serve to keep leaders in touch and aligned with their key objectives.
Many times leaders get promoted into management positions because of their excellence in individual performance. However, it’s often the case that the skills needed for individual success do not translate directly into key leadership and management skills.
Additionally, as leaders work their way up an organization, the demands on their energy and time scale. Many leaders find themselves out of balance and at risk of burning out in the long-term. It’s hard to show-up in every interaction and role model key behaviors when you’re running on empty.
Sometimes a leader has all of the technical skills, knowledge and resources to achieve a desired outcome, but is not yet able to have the impact they’d like. In cases like this, more training is often not the answer. Instead, the leader needs something more personal and tailored to them – Leadership coaching.
Solution – way forward
For whatever challenges leaders face, coaching provides a safe, structured and tailored environment to support the individual.
Coaching helps leaders understand their strengths, values and how their unique style can be leveraged in dynamic situations. Together, we work through the obstacles that are being faced, whether they are internal (belief, voice, confidence, etc) or external (relationships, communication, influence, etc.)
As a coach I bring objectivity and consistency to each leader’s development plan.
Coaching can also be supplemented and enhanced with assessments such as a 360, performance assessment, DISC, Strengths Finder, etc. to create awareness on current competencies and opportunities for growth.
